A challenging golf course in the area of Den Haag, a bunch of Omni -golfers took up the challenge on the windy Friday afternoon. Top prizes were there to be won, but more importantly the chance to accumulate points for the prestigious Omnigolf trophy . This will be given out in September this year at golfbaan Klieburg for the golfer of the year.
My advice to everyone before the round was to keep out of the water hazards. Unfortunately, I gave this advice after I had found my car in a “ sloot” after one of those heavy gusts of wind decides to roll my car in the water. Fortunately, there were no yellow or red poles so I was able to retrieve my car from the ditch, free of penalties with help of the green keepers. After years of laughing at people whose cars roll down the car park at the Rottebergen, I also have learnt the lesson … put your hand break on!!
Bonneta Koppert took command of the day by winning the first prize with 35 points as well as the putting comp.Second was Gerda Methorst with 33 points and third Cees Koppert with 31
The Nelly Award our signature prize given to the coolest dressed golfer from our mascot Nelly the cow was awarded to Ron Felius, who not only dressed cool on the golf course but is also just a cool dude. Besides that he hasn't won anything at our tournaments for years.Congtratulations Ron
